Since June 8, there has been a lot of information about Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 and Call of Duty: Warzone 2.0. If Infinity Ward develops the two titles, the developers took advantage of their private conference on June 7 to give details to the most important players and influencers in the Call of Duty community.
Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 confirm the arrival of a shooting range
Several weeks ago, rumors announced that the following Infinity Ward titles should see the appearance of what was going to be a shooting range or at least a kind of Hub like in Call of Duty: WWII, in which players would have the opportunity to meet but also to test their weapons before going to war.
However, during the private conference, the developers more or less affirmed these words (via CharlieIntel ), but with the difference that it will be a shooting gallery and not a full dating hub. Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0 will allow players to try out their weapons, and that’s a plus when we know weapon modding will significantly change.
Unfortunately, at this time, we don’t know more about this famous shooting range, but it looks like we’ll have access to it when we’re modifying a weapon.

Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2 Armory Review
Of course, the weapon modification system of the two titles will change wholly compared to what we currently know with Black Ops Cold War, Vanguard, or Warzone. In Modern Warfare 2 and Warzone 2.0, the developers wanted to add two new features in weapon modding with Platforms and Attachment Tuning.
Platforming is the ability for players to unlock variants of a base rifle or pistol. In a nutshell, our agents will start playing with the initial version of a weapon, which will then open a tree of variants. According to the developers, they will all have unique accessories, and others shared between them.
Finally, they call Attachment Tuning the possibility for players to modify each attachment with positive and negative points to find a proper balance. When players find something positive, there will always be something negative not far away. A weapon cannot be mastered in both titles as these new features should help find a middle ground.
